Thank you, Calgary, for a fantastic Calgary Seedy Saturday 2011!
After such a successful day, we have a list of people to thank:
* To our volunteers, your time and energy helped make the day run smoothly. Thank you for giving us your time.
* To the people who came to shop and learn, thank you for supporting the local seed suppliers and for showing Calgary that you support locally sourced, open-pollinated seeds.
* To the vendors, without you, this event would truly not happen. Thank you for your hard work and for sharing your passion with us.
* To the educational exhibitors, the knowledge you give freely and gladly helps us all better understand the important issues surrounding our food and environment.
* To our speakers, thank you for coming to share your time and expertise with us.
* To Ethnicity, thank you for coming to support our event with yummy food and quick smiles.
* To the media who talked about our event, thank you for spreading the word about this important local event. We have to especially thank Global Calgary, Shaw TV and Fast Forward Weekly. We also need to thank the Calgary Horticultural Society for supporting us in our advertising initiative this year.
* To the Hillhurst-Sunnyside Community Centre, thank you for putting a roof over our heads and for helping the day run so smoothly.
There are likely other people we've forgotten to list specifically, but if you helped us have such a successful day, THANK YOU!
If you missed us, check the Seeds of Diversity website for other Seedy Saturday and Seedy Sunday events happening across Canada.
We have already started working on Calgary Seedy Saturday 2012. We hope to see you there! Until then, enjoy your gardens!
